This is a great little hospedaje with a pretty garden and a new 2nd floor extension. Our room was virtually new! With a variety of rooms including doubles, singles, and family rooms, with or without bathrooms attached, only 30 soles for a double room with shared bathroom.
Hospitality: 8/10 Initially we had to access the hospedaje through the little shop next door, squeezing through the gap in the shelves. Once we were in the garden the couple who owned the place were really lovely, showing us a room straight away and offering information about the nearby ruins and hot pools (a lot of which was lost on us because we didn’t understand the Spanish).
Room: 9/10 The room we stayed in was brand new and the bed was firm but comfortable. The only real downside was the door, it was one of those metal doors you’d use on an outdoor garden shed and made a hell of a racket when you opened or shut it in the middle of the night! It also didn’t do a great job of insulating the place but the bed was warm. I would also advise taking a room with an ensuite because the walk across the open balcony to the loo in the middle of the night is very brisk!
Location: 8/10 About 3 blocks back from the main square in a quiet area. Great view of the back streets from the balcony.
Value: 10/10 So cheap, new room and new bathroom. Great value.
Overall: 9/10 Cheap, nice owners, we were given a key for the main outside doors so entry wasn’t a problem. We would stay there again!
